Adams and Adams Construction was hired to complete all interior carpentry, finish work and masonry for a new construction project. We were hired because of our expertise in working with repurposed materials, antique wood work and antique fixtures. While the project was a new build the interiors were made to look like an old lake front lodge. The lodge owner is an accomplished brewer so we converted a piece of antique molding from the King Edward Hotel in Asheville into a custom bar complete with tap tower and hidden storage for bottles. The flooring was antique heart pine that was recovered from a mill in South Carolina. Custom details abound in this one of a kind home from Arts and Crafts inspired trim details to a custom carved newel post in the shape of a goose honoring the name of the lodge, Goose Point. Adams and Adams also is responsible for the incredible stone work throughout the interior and exterior of the lodge. We designed the fireplace and exterior pillars to include a quartz vein that the lodge owner had collected as well as various whimsical items from the owners collection.
