The R.P. Britten House (Job Barnard House) was constructed in 1889 in Weaverville, NC.  The original field stone foundation did not allow enough area to access infrastructure and past crawl space renovations had left the structure unstable.  This historic house was lifted 6 feet in the air by historic home experts Adams & Adams in order to create a full basement, structural stability and access to new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.  We have now lowered the house back down onto the new foundation and are ready to move forward with further rehabilitation and repairs.
